1 cup bread crumbs ¼ cup milk 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ½ teaspoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon chopped green pepper 1 tablespoon chopped celery ½ teaspoon dry mustard ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper ¼ teaspoon salt 1 egg, beaten
Mix all ingredients together, shape into patties. Place on a cookie sheet and chill for a half-hour before cooking.
When chilled, in a skillet, heat two tablespoons of oil over medium heat. When oil starts to ripple slightly, carefully place crab cakes in pan, leaving plenty of space between each cake. Fry until golden, about four minutes on each side. Serve warm. Enjoy!
