Hearty Seafood Chowder Recipe with Pasta
1 cup crab meat, cooked
1 cub small shrimp, cooked
6 ounces miniature pasta bow-ties or shells
6 Tablespoons butter
1 small container (8 ounces) button mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup wine
¼ cup flour
1 cup clam juice
2 cups milk
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
In a stock pot or large pan, boil the pasta for 8 to 10 minutes. While pasta is cooking, in a skillet over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms in two Tablespoons of the butter. Add the garlic, sauté one more minute. Add the clam juice and milk, heat until thickened. Add the spices, and stir in the shrimp and crab. Stir for five minutes. Drain pasta and add to skillet and stir. Serve warm.
