Maryland Crab Cakes: Easy to Make at Home

Maryland Crab Cakes are a classic! We like it with cracker crumbs, but bread crumbs will do, too.

1 pound fresh lump crab meat (canned will do, too, in a pinch -- drain well).
½ cup crushed saltine crackers.
¼ cup milk
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten

Mix all ingredients together, shape into patties. Mix all ingredients together, shape into patties. Place on a cookie sheet and chill for a half-hour before cooking.

When chilled, in a skillet, heat two tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Set crab cakes in pan and fry until golden, about three or four minutes on each side. Serve warm. Enjoy!
